In screen printing application, screen stretching is a very important process before screen printing. It directly determines the flatness and tension stability of the printing plate, affects the printing accuracy and pattern clarity, and is the foundation for ensuring printing quality.
 
1. Fix the frame: Place the frame on the stretching machine's worktable, adjusting its position to be centered and ensuring the pre-existing screen width is uniform around the edges.
 
2. Clamp the screen: Put the mesh on the frame and clamp the edges of the mesh using the stretching machine's clamps, taking care to keep the mesh flat and no folds.
 
4. Gradually add tension: Slowly stretch the screen outwards, measuring the tension with a tension meter as you stretch, until the tension reaches the required level (typically, screen printing tension ranges from 18–28 N/cm, adjusted according to the substrate).
 
5. Adhesive for fixation: After the tension stabilizes, evenly coating  adhesive to the contact area between the frame and the mesh. After adhesive completely cured, release the stretching machine's clamps.
 
6. Trim and inspect: Trim off any excess mesh from the outside of the frame. Use a tension meter again to check the uniformity of tension in each area. Once confirmed to be correct, proceed to the plate-making process.
