Why improving the printing accuracy of polyester printing mesh is essential?

Polyester screen printing mesh is widely used in many industries such as garment, textile, glass, ceramic printing etc. Its core requirement is printing precision—insufficient precision reduces product quality and affects sales prices, making material selection crucial.
 
The key to selection lies in the quality of the screen printing stencil, which is influenced by original image quality, photographic film quality, reprint effect, and film size stability. Stencil production involves screen frames, mesh cloth, straps, plate-making processes, and photosensitive materials.
 
Key Selection Points
 
1. Screen Frame: Adopt rigid aluminum alloy square profiles with specifications 20mm×20mm. Corners are fixed by argon arc welding or riveting to ensure high precision and dimensional stability.
 
2. Mesh: Prioritize monofilament polyester mesh (high mesh count, fine wire diameter, small mesh size; yellow or brown to avoid shadows). It outperforms nylon mesh in heat resistance and dimensional stability—nylon mesh is prone to thermal deformation and unsuitable for high-temperature glue baking or plate exposure.
 
3.  Stretching Process: Use a pneumatic stretching machine. Requirements: (1) Warp and weft threads remain perpendicular, aligned with the frame edge; stretch along the thread direction first, then move horizontally. (2) Maintain appropriate and uniform tension—excessive tension causes brittleness or breakage, insufficient tension leads to poor rebound. (3) Prevent relaxation by repeated stretching to release stress before final fixation.
