How to distinguish PA66 Nylon Filter Mesh with other filter materials?

Many polymer filter meshes (PP, LDPE, LLDPE, MDPE, PA6, PA66) look alike if they have the same color and size. Accurate material choosing is critical for purchasers, manufacturers and end users, as material type directly determines the filtering performance.

Melting point comparison is an easy way to indentify them:
Standard melting temperatures of common filter materials are listed below:
1. PP: 155℃–165℃
2. LDPE: 108℃–126℃
3. LLDPE: 126℃–136℃
4. MDPE: 126℃–135℃
5. PA6: 210℃–220℃
6. PA66: 250℃–270℃

PA66 has a much higher melting point than all the above materials, even PA6. This obvious temperature gap allows quick differentiation of visually identical mesh products.

Melting point represents core thermal properties of materials. Correct PA66 identification is vital for scenarios requiring heat resistance, stable processing and long-term material durability.
